Jade
Jade is treasured more than any other stone by the Chinese. Chinese believe that jade symbolises nobility, virtue and immortality, and has the power to protect from misfortune. To-date, the oldest jade objects have been found in the Neolithic site 7,000 years old. It is used as accessories, objets d'art, and as burial objects by the wealthy. The technique of jade carving comes in a variety of forms such as relief, hollow-out carving, and three-dimensional objects, creating a refreshing and charming style.
