Ancient characters / pictorials

The history of ancient Chinese characters spans as far back as 10,000 years ago. The main purpose of inventing it was to record events. It originated from knot-tying, pictorials and hand signals, of which 'pictorials' have the greatest influence due to its interesting structure. The earliest primitive records of pictorials were found on bone and stone. Chinese language is basically a pictorial form and it has not changed for the past 5,000 years
