Rock art

The origin of rock art can be traced back to the stone age (10,000 BC to 3,000 BC). Subjects used include animals, people, scenes of dancing, riding, and hunting, nature, spirits and symbols. It reflects the lifestyle and customs of primitive people like early forms of worship. Its simplicity and directness in expression shows clearly the early history of mankind and is a valuable work of art in itself.
