Bronze ware
Bronze is one of the oldest metals used by man. Although man discovered copper earlier, it was found to be too soft for practical use. Gradually, man added tin and zinc to copper to create bronze, using it for making utensils, agricultural and handicraft tools, as well as weapons during war times. Bronze wares often have decorative symbols inscribed on them with formal, detailed and refined appearance, which combine the arts of painting and engraving. Since bronze is an expensive metal, it is used mainly by the upper class during special occasions.
